Well in this video I'm actually showing the two main software tools I've been using and discussing how I actually use them. I use MTG Studio for inventory, and Echo MTG for keeping track of prices and giving me insight when to make trades/purchases/sales. In case anybody was curious you CAN actually even see the general value of the most expensive 1800 cards in my 34,000 card collection in this video, and you can see how those cards have performed over the last 2 years if you are interested.

Please note that I might switch to a different inventory tool in the near future. But at the moment MTG Studio is still meeting most of the needs I have for inventory.

These were my Old School format matches against Jeff Watkins. We did end up playing 3 out of 5 but only the first 3 games counted for the Summer Derby, the last 2 were for fun. Then we had a nice chat after the games. Jeff is a pretty cool guy.

The Summer Derby is an Online-only tournament for Magic the Gathering's "Old School" 9394 format. Where only sets from Alpha to Fallen Empires is allowed. The social group on Facebook for organizing the games is right here.

Red blUe Green aggro versus Red Blue Black Troll Disco on the high tables in the last round of qualifying for top 8 at the Old School Championship at the Grand Prix Las Vegas event. I have sat on this video for nearly a year and waited to post it because I thought there was other content coming out in other channels but it seems it never did. I thought the video was appropriate since people are really recognizing that Troll Disco is a Tier 1 build and Michael Christian did a great job piloting it that day.

I believe I'm missing a picture from one of my match ups in the qualifying rounds, but I just can't remember who that 4th match was with. I suppose that's the problem with posting a video so long after the fact. At least Old School is an eternal format and all these decks are just as relevant today as they were then.

Jesper and I have become friends in the last year through our shared passion of the Old School 1993/1994 format of Magic the Gathering. We chat over Facebook messenger and now on video chat as you guys can see here. We have usually been discussing deck tech but we finally got to play some games together. This was our first match, my UG Crazies build versus his version of "The Deck" + "Aggresive Artifacts" build. His deck is most certainly an awesome build that I might even play myself at times because I love all the options it has.

Yes! Budget Old School decks ARE competitive and here's a video showing it! The budget Old School deck series is not a joke, it's legit and they are indeed good decks! A budget black deck very similar to the one I showed in my video was piloted by a 13 year old kid at the Old School Championship at GP Vegas and he won about half his games with it. In this video, the Budget Green (worth around ($400 with Revised cards etc.) is taking down a 35k value deck. This is indeed what Old School is like, you DON'T need power to be competitive!
